Dave and I met at Townsend Bay Marina in Port Townsend on Thursday morning for a progress check on the Marinaut under construction.
The best way to summarize what we found is: outstanding. I've posted photos on our Facebook sight. All 9 pieces of the hull shell are molded at this point and the Delta-T thermal coating has been applied to most of where it's going.
Thursday afternoon TBM was going to glass in the anchor locker bulkhead and set the cabin on top of the hull and glass them together. They then finish shooting the Deta-T on the inside of the hull (above the floor pan to just above the cabin-to-hull join).
I anticipate picking up the shell next Thursday and then we get to work here in Cornet Bay with all the rest (rails, windows, fuel system, water system, interior cabinetry, wiring, lights, ad infinitum).
I'm so pleased with the quality and attention to detail that we're getting at TBM. I know with a certainty that we'll be handing over the keys to a superbly built boat. _________________ Les
