I thought that Dusty would've given us a little info on the e-tec 90 by now. Saw an infomercial comparing larger e-tecs to 4-stroke yamaha and mercury, and it looked quite impressive. Be interesting to see how an experienced boat guy will evaluate e-tecs more the size range for a c-dory. _________________ previous snoopy-c owner, previous c-miner owner, current C-Sik owner(22 angler) |

Uh oh. Better hope Dogon Dan doesn't see this one and wonder why they were afraid to test it against a Honda!
If Dusty's weather is anything like ours today, I doubt he'll be sea trialing any boats. The wind is blowing at a pretty good clip down here. Not that Dusty and his craft couldn't handle it, I just like to think he is smarter than to try.
It will be interesting to hear his reports. And he will be comparing it to a Honda, and won't be sugar coating it. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Won't be long now! We are going to install the windlass and some other trivia Monday -- and then the E-TEC should be in the water. I'll give it a thorough checkout and report to those who care ASAP. Been seven years that I've been fishing with a 90 Honda (over 1,000 hours) with my fishing partner's Arima 19 in addition to many Honda years on my own boats, so this will be different. The E-TEC looks good on the boat and on paper. I've had some excellent reports from Arima owners who use the E-TEC so I'll be surprised if it doesn't do a good job.
Our weather is okay now, but predicted miserable tomorrow. Weather guessing in the area is a real tough problem because of the Olympic and Canadian mountains, and all of the conflicting currents...
