My 2003 Honda 90 tilt indicator seem to have a memory issue. If the motor has been up, the indicator slowly responds to tilt down. If it has been down, it slowly responds to up tilt. It can take as long as 5 min for the true position to be displayed correctly. The little black lever at the sending unit seems to move easily in either direction. Is this a sending unit malfunction or a problem with the indicator (gauge at the helm)? Can I place a multi-meter on the wires to the indicator to see if the voltage varies at the same speed as the tilt to trouble shoot indicator vs sending unit?

you might try spraying the little black spring loaded lever with WD-40 first. That worked for us. _________________ Patti and Barry
