Well as of today you can drop the Arima from ArimaSark, because I'am now boatless. Sold my boat to a wonderful gentlman by the name of Gerald. He is actually the owner of a crabhouse in friday harbor. A open air restaraunt if I remember right. Anyone know the place? Anyway puts me one step closer to getting a new boat. So I'm ready for that ride Starcraft Tom. Now's the hard part, being boatless until I find the right boat. And salmon fishing should be picking up. Question, I've seen some CD's for sale recently with the manual windshield wipers, are these a pain in the rear, just seems like a pain in bad weather to have to lean over and toggle that thing to see clearly. I gues it's better than no wiper, but why are electric wipers not standard in CD's? Or is it just some of the older models? Does anyone who fishes use a raw water wash in their CD?

And the Susan E is a pretty scumpo boat for your first fishing trip on a C-Dory!

Hi *****Sark, Quote: | why are electric wipers not standard | After 12 years I switched over to an electric on the helm side. Real easy, no mods needed, and <$100.00. Pete _________________ Pete

I have the manual wipers and go out in the rain all the time. What makes a big difference is a little bottle of Rain-X that I keep in the cupboard. With a coating of that, the rain and spray beads off, visibility is improved, and you don't need to toggle the wiper blade nearly as much. Having said that, a mechanical upgrade sounds pretty simple and inexpensive -- maybe I'll get around to it some day! _________________ Tom on Otter |
