Somewhere on this site someone has pictures of a macerator pump and y valve installed under the sink cabinet on a TC255. I'm about to have that done on my TC255 but cannot find the pictures. Can anyone help? Have looked for awhile but it's hard to find. I'm sure it was one of our prominent TC255 posters..
Thanks

Thanks Roger, I knew it was one of you guys! How high above the waterline is the overboard?
And, where did you put the switch and how is it fused?

Charlie,
The dark half circle in the previous photo in the upper L. is the sink drain. So the pump out is about 12" below that. It's about 6" above the waterline. Switch is behind the helm seat with a drawer handle surrounding it to prevent accidental actuation, 20 amp inline fuse. It can be seen here behind seat back hinge.
We keep a zip tie in the lock hole to keep the coast guard happy. It's open all the time in Canada. |

Mine came installed from the factory. I too keep it zip tied in the event of an inspection. Mine is wired to ACC2 on the dash panel. With so many free pumpout stations in Mass, coupled with the new law, coupled with the fact that I prefer not to surface from a dive in someone's unmentionables I never discharge over the side
Funny story though...I once had work done at what I learned was a shady dealer. They quoted me a price for work, when I arrived the price doubled with no approval from me, turns out they had a history of the old bait and switch, etc., etc. Anyway during the course of their work they hit the wrong switch (before I had it zip tied) and blasted my unmentionables into their yard. Ha ha - classic.... _________________ Captain Matt
