How many feet of 1/2" line assuming 50' of chain can fit in the 2005 Cruiser locker ?

Thanks to everyone at this site you pushed me over the edge to purchase a new boat.

The rode locker on the CD 25 is enclosed, and a little larger than the CD 22. I have 15/300 rode in my 25, and could easily fit a little more. The rode I bought was Plastimo brand, and it has at times been a problem getting the windlass to feed it all into the locker. Not because of room, but because the rode wants to lay in small coils when fed in, and the pile gets too high in the center for the chain to sit on. I have to go up front, open the locker hatch, and spread the pile out when that happens. My CD 22 had S/L brand rode, and it fed in just fine. I am thinking if I had that brand on the 25, I could easily get 400' of it in the locker.

I see that your 25 Cruiser is brand new. Do you have it already, or awaiting an order delivery? Either way - congratulations!

Congratulations on the new boat, LK. You've got more room in the rode locker with the 25' than us'n with the 22's. I would follow Mike' guidlines on the rode, assuming that there has been no change in the size of the rode locker between his vintage 25 Cruise Ship and yours. Probably the same, but you could confirm that real quick by giving the C-Dory plant a call.

Whatta' ya mean, Dan, almost enough for a Ronde? Count 'em, there are
a bunch up here, more than enough! All we need is a trigger and since you volunteered to head up a flotilla......... you know the drill, "build it and they will come!". Why not, the northermost C-Dory spectacular in PWS.

Naked Island sounds cool to me, Dan. Anyone curious about what they'll find on Naked Island, just join in and seeeeee.

We can always make another outing further north and take back the title, but if we make it in PWS it will be easier for more folks to get together.

I can't believe that Red Fox hasn't chimed in on the "Yammie" comment. Probably 'cause he's out exploring around in the deep snow wiith his new snow machine. Don't feel like you're out of the woods Dan, cause 'ole Greg will undoubtedly have a few choice words on the subject.

Thanks for replies and congratulations.

Will be taking boat delivery in mid April.

AK Mining and Diving dealer believes that 25' of chain and 400' of 1/2" line will fit in the locker with the use of a windlass.
