I have had the original steering become stuck after sitting stored in my shop several times the last couple of years. Even if I turn it every few weeks it has given me problems. I talked to Les at EQ and we decided that BayStar Hyd. steering would be a good fix. I also wanted to have trim tabs installed. Les recommended Lenco 9" x 12". I have twin 40HP Hondas with Pirmatrims that work well for leveling out the boat, but it is not the ideal way to run the motors. Now I will be able to run the motors at the proper trim angle with out using them to trim side to side requirements. Les quoted me a very fair price and I made arrangements to take him the boat for the work It is a 365 mile round trip which I made twice.
I can not stress enough how pleased I am with the work. Les. Kathy and Carl (who did the work) could not have been more accommodating. They saw how fussy I am with the boat and did a great job, keeping the boat in out of the weather for 6 days. When I arrived to pick up the boat I was met by Kathy who had Carl answer all my questions. I also spent a few minutes with Les talking about C-dory's. Les may not sell them now, but he is more than happy to offer lots of great information. I am sure that these comments are not news to the many satisfied customers of EQ, but I could not resist posting my experience. I would not hesitate to take our boat there anytime I need work done. |

I agree, Les and team are great folks. Congrats on the new steering! I just finished mine today. Did the install myself, but had the folks at Sportcraft (another group of wonderful people) fill and bleed the SeaStar. _________________ "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count.
