I filled up today @ $3.20 a gallon. NO lines or waiting for fuel. It cost over $50 to fill my $250 car. No problem with that single 40 for this trip Bill as you know, the speed limit is 10mph This is the first year that limits are being enforced. My tow rig is the $250 car and I'm not sure to make it to the meeting point. |

You have the cell phone numbers for most of us from the email sent to us all by Dun. If you have a problem towing, give us folks a call and we might be able to help out towing your boat. _________________ El and Bill (former live-aboards)

Yeah, the Geneva water is a problem. I plan to fill my tanks before I leave home!
Good luck with the fuel. We haven't had gas lines here yet, but I saw Maryland was having some lines...not too bad. I'll bet those mid westerners have everything under control as you travel east.
And don't worry about your remaining Honda engine making it. Remember, Rick will be towing us all anyway. Are you planning on giving the H40's a proper burial in the 600 ft depths of Seneca Lake? I hear that it's the deepest freshwater lake in North America.
It will be good to see you again. Happy trails eastward!

Dun-
Sorry, but Lake Tahoe on the California/Nevada border averages 1000 feet deep and is over 1600 feet deep at its max!
Have a great get-together!

Joe -
Sorry, but Crater Lake in Oregon is the deepest in the US, and the 7th deepest in the world. But don't try throwing an outboard motor in it. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Mike-
Didn't really check to see which was the deepest, just knew Lake Tahoe was a lot deeper than 600 feet! Joe. |

Hi-All--- Well I'm heading out today for up state N.Y. Erie Canal cruise, Price of gas seems to be about $3.50 per gal. in the area, and plentifully, of course higher in Marinas, and I'm sure alot of it is price gouging, AND ONLY!!! .60 per gal higher than Calif!!! Hopefully prices will be better after Labor Day. Looks like the 8hp may get to see some action on this section of the canal, with speed limit being 10 mph anyway. Rich |

The gang is assembled at Seneca Falls and had a great dinner out last night at a good Italian Restaurant. Weather is perfect and all's well. All who expected to come are here. |

The Erie Canal cruise is history and what a marvelous cruise it has been. Weather perfect, great companions, good eating, and a wonderful time had by all. We're uploading Halcyon Days with the story and pictures (it is a work in progress, but if you want to take a peek and see some of the pics and tales) click:

Hi El & Bill,
Your write up and photos are wonderful. You really captured the spirit of our gathering.
Other C-Dory owners should watch PBS next march. The PBS film crew was at Pittsford to video the arrival of the C-Dory Flotilla. Then they interviewed the Admiral and Bill. The PBS crew hopes that their documentary of the Erie Canal is shown nationally in March.
