Nice job, looks great and I love the glass tile backsplash. It should help prevent cracking because you have it on its own board. Nice work!

That is a good looking countertop and I truly like the glass block back splash. What color is the countertop? Nice Job!

Nice job! We've been contemplating a similar rennovation, and now that I see it on your boat I really like it. I like the laminate you guys chose. You'll like that stove, we've used one for quite a while.
Are you going to do a ceramic photo table like we did?

Looks real good you guys. Are you sure David wasn't involved in this project? It does look up to his quality standards. Excellent. I really like the yuppie tile backsplash.
However, it looks like leaning against the wall behind the little plastic cutting board are two frozen Costco hamburger patties. When them things thaw out they're going to stink to high heaven. _________________ TyBoo Mike

ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! I mean that you have the exact same names as some good friends of ours that live in Fall City that have very few constructive skills.
Really, I am very impressed. Your confidence level must be on an entirely different level now. Well done and congratulations. _________________ RUSS & TONI |

If you look at the recent "Bixby's Cub" restoration photos you will see that we share the same taste in counter tops. |

Great job, Pat and Patty!
You've obviously graduated from the Newbie Level of Handyman Skills to that of Fully Proficient Remodelers.
Got any plans for the 16?

Thanks all, this was a fun project, and instilled a bit more confidence in us. It was in truth a pretty simple job however. Tape measure, Skillsaw, blue tape, contact cement, clamps, saber saw, screwdriver, SimpleMat and grout, that was about it.
And no, David (who either designed or built every other customization on our boat except the cockpit table that Barry built) was NOT involved in the galley countertop project!
Mike - the "Costco hamburgers" are big cork hotpads (of course you knew that) - NOT going to put a hot teakettle or saucepan down on the new laminate and leave a big ring! _________________

The table is unlikely to be done by Powell, but it definitely is on the list! I will be sure to photograph the project from start to finish!

Yeah, but you probably want one that can loosen lug nuts too....
On the bright side however, he could probably keep you out of legal trouble..

Charlie,
Oh, if only one could remove lugnuts by sending them a sternly worded letter on letterhead reading from the "Law Office Of:"... _________________ Roger on Meant to be |
