Here's some shots of the TugNuts Gathering (or should I say Swarming) at their TNGT this weekend. We can do this! There are 4 shots of a CD 16 there too!

I counted 22. We had only 16 C-Dory's here in the marina at Guttenberg, but...... We had more fun that they did.

I was riding in the boat behind the Yello 29. it is the R- Matey. this was quite an orchestration to get that pic.
I showed up just in time to jump aboard as they were untying and backing out of the slip.
I didn't get a actual count but I would guess that there were over 50 tugs on the docks. it was an impressive sight for sure.

I was there with Roger - can anyone spot us in the pic? Mr. Green

And, plenty of tugs stayed in the marina during that photo shoot - my guess is, only about half went out.

Now...before you Brats get all jealous, those TugNuts just don't measure up...there was still beer left in the pony kegs on Saturday morning.

lets plan on a photo shot in friday harbor next spring. I know a guy with a plane that could do a fly over. we could all go out as the ferry is coming and surround it. that would make a great pic.

has anyone seen the anchored wheels that some boat clubs do.

Friday Harbor would be a good place to for a photo op. I think it would be fun and it might be worth some PR too. How about Northwest Evening Magazine (North West Cable News) might do a story there, (the family not just the boat.) It would go along with the type of things they do. Maybe Northwest Yachting Mag would do a cover, and Neil would come and do the shoot. It would take some advance planing and lots of cooperation, but I bet the Brats would do it. 35 - 45 boats, now there would be a shooting challenge. Maybe we could get some of the wonderers back to the PNW for such a gig, (Bill and El, Jim and Joan, Russ and whoops Embarassed Love you guys Rolling Eyes Meander, Hunky Dory....Are you all in Question Scott and the factory crew, interested?

Good idea Tom.

Not a good idea to surround the ferry with all the piracy going on. We want to keep our good reputation... CoolSmile Laughing

Roger, Bill, sorry I missed you guys. Willie and I were on bridge taking pictures. May have been a little beer left, but the wine chillers were empty.
Again Roger, we really enjoyed dinner with you in Anacortes.

Great shot, Herb! Of course, you could have been on the radio, lining up their formation a bit. Wink That will be a great keepsake for those involved.

Best wishes,
Jim

A few years ago when we were in San Francisco Bay with the Delta gathering, the line of C-Dorys got a slow fly-over from a USCG helicopter. "Smile and wave for the guys with the guns." Wink

I thru in the ferry idea because every time I go by it I get boarded anyhow. If my father is in the area that time of the year he could do the fly over with a photographer of your choice.

I just would like to get a picture of all the boats in the water underway. It would only take a hour of time before the pot luck.
