|
|
We have two 2008 Suzuki 50's in stock. Both are new, unregistered motors. One has been on our demo boat and has 25 hours on it, the other has never been run. These would make a great pair of engines for a dual engine install on a 22, or a either could be a single on a 16.
Demo motor is $5582, other is $5907. Price does not include rigging parts or labor. Through August 31 each engine qualifies for an additional $250 rebate.
Let me know if you're interested in these. _________________ Matt Gurnsey

We have twin Johnson 50's on our 22' Cruiser. (The Johnsons are actually Suzuki). I'm very pleased with them. _________________ Dave S.

Matt, my 22 angler has 1988 Johnsons,70 and 15hp with so few hours it is hard to justify new power. Would a 70 and 9 kicker make sense? cost? thanks mrtotem _________________ where is the fish? |

Just for fun-
The Suzuki 70 and 90 are built on the same platform, so weight is the same. I would probably go 90 with 8 or 9.9.
We have a 2009 90 Suzuki in stock, as well as a 2008 (built on the bigger 115 block). We also have a 2010 Suzuki 8 manual start in stock.
The 2008 is reduced to $7499, the 2009 reduced to $7999 (about the price of a new 70). Price does not include rigging. Rebate on the 90's is $300. We also have a Suzuki 8 manual start long shaft. Same block as the 9.9, less money. $2155 for the 8.
Please note that I don't usally quote prices on the site, but these are left over, close out engines. For prices on current engines, please drop me a note. |

Thanks loads Matt,I am just playing with options if my boat does not sell before fishing gets going. I really rather not sell so may up-grade power and have them bury me in it I live out by the Hood Canal bridge, so don't get your way often, thanks again cheers Al |

Matt,
I just said I was going to repower (down the line some) on another thread. I think my Yamaha's are nearly still new (430 Hours). They are 40's, How would they compare in weight to the Suzi 50's? (Just for fun.) And are they black? More importantly, are they EFI?
Thanks Matt,
Harvey

The Suzuki's are not black. They are dark Charcoal.
At 243 pounds they are 40 pounds heavier (each) than your Yami's. They have 18 amp alternator output versus 15 on the Yami's. They are fuel injected.

So what is considered a lot of hours on an engine? I have 415 hours on my 2001 Yamaha. I have been looking at buying a 90’s model 22 that’s been repowered and the hours really vary. Not sure how to calculate value/depreciation for hours.
Thanks,
Kevin |

Thanks,

The hours have been mentioned before on the site and I don't remember it, however I believe it to be in the "thousands". That being said, 415 hours is still like "new". |

Matt, if the above is true, does that make my Johnson's (actually a Suzuki under a Johnson hood), not white, but Snow White? |

Ouch, Do they have room for a helium bladder anywhere?

Actually, they are closer to Colonial White, but I won't quibble over semantics. |

They are 4 pounds lighter than the Yami 50's, so keep that in mind. Besides, C-Dory owners don't install twins for weight savings... |

Matt, that might be OK if I stay with my diet and put the boat on one too.
Of course there would also be an increase in power so the weight may not be as much of an issue as I first thought.
Thanks Matt,
Harvey
