OK, how about some feed back as to a date for the Jarrell Cove weekend. Last year I believe it was the last weekend in March. This year that falls on Easter weekend. Cathlamet is the first weekend in April. Ideas?
For those who have not been to Jarrell Cove-some information.

Jarrell Cove State Park is at the bottom of the picture and the dock we use is to the left and has one boat tied to the end. Robbi _________________ 2023 C-Dory 23 Venture Sport

Robbi... You are trying to drag me back to the NW already.... This would be fun but not "do-able" at this time... but, I do want to go back to the plant when they get the new TC25 on the floor. Worth taking a look at. |

I'd be game for the last weekend in March. What better way to celebrate Easter? besides, that's the front end of my spring break so M and I could stretch that event out into a multi day south sound adventure but....anytime is a good time as long as we have weather like last year, if it's dumping and cold, we'll be elsewhere _________________ Ken

Patty here. The new 25'CD is due at the end of March or the beginning of April, if all goes well. We might be between boats the last weekend of March. Whatever you all decide will be what it is but we would probably hope for a later April date or an earlier March date (perhaps a farewell cruise for Daydream, and if a reverend is along we could officially dename her). _________________

Brydman, You bet we would like to get you back out here. You made a lot of folks and that is a good thing. Look forward to seeing you and your wife when the new TC25 hits the floor. Robbi |

Looks to me like it would be most sensible to tow and launch nearby. It's a ways down there by water from Everett. So... what's the recommended, close place to launch?

Our favorite local launch for Jarrell's Cove is Joemma State Park on the Key Peninsula. Also have launched at Day Island in Tacoma, have to say it is less than ideal. A launch at Swantown in Olympia would be good too. Further North, Des Moines would make a nice run. For a typical arrive-Friday-night leave-Sunday-morning, the run from Everett might be bit much, but who knows?

I did not buy a boat to trailer it. we would leave the day before and have fun looking around and fishing on the way there. I drive trucks all day around here for work, i dont want to drive while not at work. |

All righty then! That's the spirit! So, are you going to run up to Desolation with us? Now pretty certain we will be leaving from Blaine...heck, you can get from Everett to Blaine in half of nothing flat!

I can appreciate that! I unfortunately, don't have as much time to boat as I would like and have found that I'd rather use the trailer to get where I'm going so I can spend more time exploring the "new" area. Also, I get better mileage on the car than in the water so the trip will be less expensive.
Reminds me ... One time when I was in the locks chatting with an owner of one of them noisy cigarette boats - I asked him what the top end was on his boat. He indicated 65 and asked the same question of my CD 22. I told him about 75MPH. After his jaw dropped and he gave me a quizzical look I said.... but that's on a trailer on the freeway

we are thinking about the trip north. i was up there with my folks in 99 and it was great. we will have to see about the timing.
roger-- the south sound is new to me. i never went farther then edmonds from everret and no farther north then the san juans. there is a lot of the sound that we have not seen yet. hell i plan to cruise to sekiu from everret for coho season. its just no fun going all the way to tacoma and around and cost to much to take the ferry. I would rather burn the cash on gas for the boat . |

Let's hear a bit more from folks who want to attend and dates that work for ya. I think that we are looking at dates from mid-March to mid-April excluding the first weekend in April. Thanks Robbi |

Luna C is interested. Most weekends would work for us. Daylight savings is April 3rd, any time after that gives an extra hour of Friday launch light. I plan to be exploring Princess Louisa Inlet and area between April 9 and 17. _________________ Janet & Chris without CD22 Luna C
