In case anyone has an older EZ Loader trailer. I am rebuilding a older EZ Loader trailer and the grease seals are a rare item not available at local boat trailer mfgs. or bearing houses.
The ID that rides on the spindle is standard, but the OD that presses into the hub is an odd diameter.
#3068 for older EZ Loader 5 lug
#3067 for older EZ Loader 6 lug

Tex, I have used the ezloader store before with good results
If you call with the trailer S/N they can look up the original hub type and seal also

Thanks guys, I got em. Re mounted the hubs tonight. Next new tires. New led lights, New bunks and then I can put the C- dory back on the trailer. It has been hanging from the roof of my shop for a few weeks. No one near me seems to handle EZ Loader and I did not think of calling the factory. Should of posted the seal question on here 3 weeks ago. I would have been 2 weeks farther along on the restoration.

Hi Tex,
You might consider carrying a spare set of bearings, races, and seals in your tow vehicle.
You sure don't want to leave your sweetie on the side of the road while you make a parts run.
On a Sunday, at night, in the rain, looking for a parts store that's closed and doesn't stock your parts anyway. _________________ Pete

We take that one further on the Tom Cat trailer by also having a spare hub. The spare tire is mounted on a spare hub, which is bolted to the trailer frame. When we had bearing damage last year on the C Dory 25, we had some damage to the bearing race in the hub. We hand repaired it on the side of the road, but it would have been much easier to have put in a full new hub.
Definately keep grease, jacks, wheel chocks, spare crown nut, couter pin, and bearings/seals in the tool kit. They are cheap ahead of time--expenisve on the road--and time consuming.
Also use the IR therometer to check the hub and brake temperatures. _________________ Bob Austin
