Hello,, new to the c-brat world and new c-dory owner. I have just became the proud owner of Squidward recently relocated to Alaska coming out of California.
I would like to install a toyo 2800 diesel heater in the boat. If anyone has pictures or advise that would be great.

Thanks in advance--Hooter--

This may help with some generic questions.

Hopefully someone will answer with some C-Dory specific stuff.

Hooter,

Congrats on your new boat and now cabin heat!

To post pictures you will need a photo album. To get one, send a PM (private message) (in the top menu) to Tyboo or Da Nag, the site administrators, requesting a photo album. They will set up an album using your boat name as a title. Then you can upload photos.

So - it can mount OUTSIDE of the cabin and the heat be ducted in ? Where do you get it and $$ ? The website store doesn't list that heater. Looks like a good solution.

I've seen that heater mounted inside a C-Dory on the shelf where the galley usually goes, probably on a CD-22 Angler, and it's here in someone's album. Who knows where?

Very Happy Finally got some pictures of my Toyo Heater installation. These stoves seem to do really good on fuel consuption. Of course it has not been to chilly lately?? It was tuff for me to drill a hole in the roof. I double checked everything several times before drilling. So far so good. Will report in later on fuel usage and BTU output.

I love Seldovia. What a beautiful town that is! I was just there last week, but without my C-dory, unfortunately. I had the boat in the water in Seward, but didn't want to tow it all the way to Homer (I have a fifth wheel, as well, and have to make two trips if I want the boat too), but I'll definitely get it down there next year. Welcome to the brats and the C-Dory world.

Jim

Hooter,

Congratulations on your C-Dory purchase. It is an exciting time doing that and all that goes with it..
I live just south of Ninilchik at MP 138.1 Sterling Hyw. up on the bluff. Stop by if you are headed to Homer or Seldovia.
Now you can do the paging through the marine catalogs looking for goodies like the rest of us.

Jack

Thanks Jack, One of these days I could just take you up on that. I really like the new boat. Just wish I had more time to get out. I will be down that way in August hopefully the halibut will still be on the bite. Nice pictures in your gallery. Looks like you guys are having a good time.
Take care---Hooter--- Very Happy
