The 22' is nice, but WAY out of my price range...I'm thinking $45,000. Wow. that's a lot!
With a 40HP four-stroke, what do you think the 16' would run? |

As a wild guess I'd say $21,750 + tax + title ready to roll off the trailer. With a Johnson 50. 40 horsepower will be less expensive. (That price is a link. )

Thanks Chuck.
I'm back from vacation up here at school browsing around on my super fast Internet connection ( ) and was told on another forum that C-Dory's are very expensive.
The 22' is certainly out of my foreseeable price range, but the 16 (which I've taken a great liking to!) is not, and the price is inline with a 17' Trophy center console (apples to oranges, I know...) |

I heard that C-Dory makes a 19 footer too! Rather a nice boat in size and price I think. Robbi _________________ 2023 C-Dory 23 Venture Sport

Mrs. Krumm,
Nice boat there! Love it!
For myself though, it's hard for me to justify spending a lot more than $20,000 for what amounts to a play toy (touring, fishing, tubing/skiing, etc...) that'll see virtually 100% use on sheltered inland rivers and lakes.
I'm really in love with the 16' Angler at the moment! |

Just check into Catman's Bambina and you can see that it is a great testament to the 16 for sure. And lyle-t ,of Scorpio has extensive experience with both the 14 and 16's. H ecan tell you about the fishablity and such also... you won't go wrong with any size C-Dory from 14-25 ft. _________________ Commodore Jim & Adm. Laurie

Jelly, Just doing my part to remind folks that there is a C-Dory "tweener".
I know how you feel when you say you are "really in love" with a boat. It is something that seems to be addictive with all of the C-Dorys. We love our boats. The very best to you in your search for your 16 footer.
Yah, that Catman. Now there is a testament to a 16. The boat is 15 years old and it looks like it just came out of the box!

Jelly, Jelly, Jelly...it's not just a toy....it's Hydro therapy, which is much more enjoyable than electroshock therapy...how much would a good therapist cost? If you factor in the resale value, the overall cost of ownership aint bad.....but I hear what ya mean, a person has to allocate their fun bucks wisely _________________ Ken

My lil 16 Cruiser is a babe magnet at the dock and at every fuel or rest stop on the highway -- don't overlook that aspect of the 16 footers.
Not sure which part of KY you're in but there's a dealer in St Louis, one in Detroit, and Sister Bay (NE of Green Bay where I drove up and back 620 miles each way two days back to back to get mine).
Major "problem" with these boats is supply and demand. The dealers in this half of the country have to buy them by the truck load to keep the freight cost down and consequently don't discount them from MSRP. Motors they'll "deal" on but figure on MSRP for the hull. It also takes several months to order one from the factory. I found two available in the spring of '03 as widely separated as Baltimore and Sister Bay.
With Honda power mine has been turn key thru two seasons.
The berth on the 16 Cruiser is big enough for two to sleep. Has a much smaller cockpit though -- no free lunch.

Jelly,
Not sure if you've visited the CDOG website or not. They've got about four used 16' Anglers listed on their website now. One is in Maryland, another at the C-Dory dealer in Michigan and a couple on the West Coast. Looks like they're priced anywhere between $8,000 to $18,000. Link here to the used C-Dory ads at that site: http://groups.msn.com/CDoryOwnersGroup/usedcdorysforsale.msnw |

Few of the C-Dog ads have any dates on them and are on there forever. The few with dates are August and October 04. I can't believe the new 16 Angler is still there since August!
