|
|
A few months back I was cleaning the cockpit bilge pump area and noticed a slight smell of fuel and considered this normal since the fuel in in this area. Concerned about a slight stain on the fuel filter prompted a further inspection of the fuel filter.
I discovered the outlett plug on the right side was very lose enough to be turned by hand causing a slight leak. This plug could have been lose since the filter was installed pryor to 2004.
So check the filter and not take the oder of fuel for granted.

Good reminder Bill.
I'm like a dog every time I open the cabin door (if I have been away for a few days), open an access port, or plug in shore power. _________________ Captain Matt

Hello Bill and Miss Brenda!! Great to see you preparing for another spring/boating season. So, what is on the bucket list this year for FALCON travel? Our home is always open and our time with you is wonderful. I appreciate our times on the porch watching the sun rise and enjoying the morning coffee.
So I finally got my hands on two raco fuel filters and will changing them out maybe Monday morning, depending on the temps. If in the 20-40 range like it has been for about a month....I will again just put that off a bit, and wait for the 50-60 days which are surly around the corner.

Yeah, I'd be surly, too, with those kinda temps! |
