Hi Dave-Well, I can tell you this much. The 16' cruiser, which has a slight rise in the center of the roof. does not fit under my open 8 foot garage door. I think the angler model, with the flatter roof, just might fit. That's the best I can do. _________________ MartyP

Hey Dave! Many variables here.... how the boat "settles" onto the trailer, the type of trailer, what do you have on the top of the boat (radar arches/canvas arches and such)..... but, when getting the door, you may be able to get a tax credit if the door is insulated. Higher and wider is always better, and the less you have to do each time you want to move your boat in and/or out of the storage garage area, the better....and less to forget and start an unintended home improvement project.

If it will fit under the door frame you can get high rise track that will take the door up above the frame so it is not blocking any part of the opening.

The other option is to have a custom trailer built for the boat. I was able to fit a 22 Cruiser through an 8-ft high opening. My 22 has the raised roof--no radar, though. I had it built by EZ Loader in Arkansas. They may still have the specs. I have pictures of it my photo album (Chiquitita). It can be done. _________________ Ramon and Laura
