Hi, Members
(Can't figure out these emoticons yet, but give me time.)
New Guy here, but with a solid order in for a TC25+. It's gratifying to see so much positive feedback to the artist conception TC25.
I have a lot to do to Dive Cat to prepare her for dive boat charter work in SoCal, so I'm counting on y'all, along with the C-Dog Group to help me along. I've already had so much valuable input! In touch with Les, of course, and many others. Got the tow vehicle. Ready to order the HP compressor shortly. I'll be up for the SBS, but mid week to meet with vendors for show deals and specs (EZ Loader). Sorry to miss the opportunity to meet so many of you, but if you stick around . . .
Other basic info: 2 x Honda 150's, water maker, Furuno or Raytheon electronics (comments welcomed), Honda 2000 generator for microwave and backup power . . . and more.
Smooth Power Boatin'

Bob-
Welcome to the Pub.
Sounds like a great boat- the TC25. I'll be looking at it when we go to the SBS/CBC in two weeks. I'm wondering if it will have the dive platform like the TC24. I hear the stern is different.
A friend and I did a beach dive last week from work (UCSB Campus) and saw several small bugs. The bugs will sure be crawling this weekend after the storm.
Furuno and RayMarine are both good systems. I have the Furuno NavNet in my CD22 and a friend has the RayMarine in his Parker 25. While RayMarine has a good and tried auto pilot, Furuno just came out with one for us sporties- should be good.
Will be down to the landing this weekend (New Years Eve party at the Anacapa Yacht Club)
and hope to get out in the boat. Tried to get out last weekend, made a half mile before turning around and heading back to the dock. The Santanas (Devil Winds) were blowing.
Let me know if you can make it up to Channel Islands Harbor sometime.

Hi, Roger
Sorry I'll miss everyone for the weekend get-together for SBS, but I'll be up later in the week. I'd be very surprised if they have any components of the TC25 ready for the show. I've tried to keep track of progress for obvious reasons. Between the move, year end holiday schedules and prep for the show, factory folks have had their hands full. I'd rather wait a few weeks and have a solid design/prototype rather than rush the process.
Lobster season has been pretty good, considering I didn't get started until late November. Snagged a 6 pounder a couple weeks ago. With the outboard brackets as a new design feature, it will be interesting to see how the ladder system will work. Are you using the factory dive ladder on Fishtales? If so, what is your evaluation. I have a custom one on my 18' PDC (Personal Dive Craft) that worked even better after the hinge broke!
My plan is to put an electric starting gas engine driven 8.4 CFM Bauer compressor under the middle of the transom, where the fishbox is now
so it will be completely out of the way. That will require extra ventilation but Compressed Air Specialties, Anaheim, will help with engineering and installation. It is the most important element of support for a charter dive operation so extra effort is necessary to get it right the first time.
Once the boat is delivered, I need to run it for about 60 days to qualify for my OUPV liscense for days at sea. Any chance you can join me for a few days of cruising your northern islands? They should be beautiful in the Spring after all this rain.
Your future host,
Bob |

Welcome to the pub!
I sure am interested in your upcoming vessel... (DON'T TELL THE WIFE!!)
I can't wait to see pics. Don't spare the memory, let her rip. We want to see every inch twice at a minimum.
I want to hear all about how you like it too and what you would change.
Good luck and good diving! _________________

Bob-
Would love to cruise our Islands with you in the spring. Will have to be a weekend cruise. I'm saving vacation time so I can take 3 weeks in the San Juans-- well, 3 weeks off counting my travel, maybe a week in the San Juans. We have the last week in July and the first 2 weeks in August. |
