Over the last few months have been debating the repower question for the CD-22- just wanted to say thanks to all the CBrats -for their suggestions - that I re-read several times. - I chose Honda 90+Tohatsu 9.9 install with Les this next two weeks.

And Thanks to the three Marine groups that gave their best estimates.

Les/Kathy at EQ Marine - lots of phone/email time = good price on Honda 90 and install and shore power install - and 2 options for trade or sale

- [he still has 2 Classic 8 Hp Hondas for great price] -

Matt at Kitsap lots of time as well on the phone, good trade in options - very fair - creative consignment - in case you want to buy a new one.

Tom, Terri, John and Kip at Toms Outboard, - answered lots of questions, good prices, -

We are really fortunate to have such a great Marine crew in Puget Sound - Thanks -
Good time to re-power - next years prices are a big jump

Thanks again

Jim

Hey Jim, Looks like your going from twins to single, what is the shop planning for the transom holes from the 40's? Bolts, washers, 3M-4200? Your transition from twins to single and your years experience with the same boat will make you an authority on the "twins vs single" debate. Enjoy, Hugh

Hugh

Actually I sold the CDory with twin 40's in October when I found a 22 with a lot of the features I wanted [Radar arch, trim tabs, autopilot, C80, forward Port seat, Bimini with zipper at cockpit to facilitate entry] - it had Honda 75 and while year end prices are ok and before inflation hits, I decided to upgrade to 90 - As you know 75 and 90 are similar engines so hopefully there won't be a lot of change on the transom mount.

I choose single + kicker over twins - because I liked the idea of one engine being completely out of the water most of the time in case I hit something.

CBrats and local Marine shops helped a lot with decision.

Have fun

Jim

Mounting holes will be the same on your new engine.

The fewer holes, the better! Laughing

Matt

Thanks for the confirmation on the transom mount.
I really appreciate your input - especially during the discovery phase of my project.

Thanks

Jim
