While I'm hep to the technique of siphoning remaining water out of the water tank when the boat is on the trailer, how do those of you who keep your boat in the water most of the time, as we do, get rid of stale water? Of course, we use some water freshener, but it kind of gags me to drink water that's been festering in the tank for a week or two. I've given some thought to installing a three-way valve to enable draining the tank to the bilge where it would then be pumped overboard. Does anyone have any other good ideas?

Seems like the easiest way to do something like this would be to "T" of of the bottom of the sight tube and run across the bottom of the rear bulkhead and into the side of the bilge sump.

I have a "T" fitting that feeds the fresh water washdown pump just inside the door under the wallas. I have been loosening the clamp/hose and just letting it drain from there. Water flows out the center cabin drain to the rear and out. When I find a valve that will fit I will make the splice.

We pump a lot on the foot pump - better than a treadmill for exercise

Hi moose,
I have a pice of clear tubing that I slide on the water spigot and hang out the window, pump the foot pump a couple of times and it sifons by it self. Just make sure that the hose end is below the water tank. It takes awhile but I don't have to stand and pump.
