I'm looking for a carrier for my spare tire/hub & bearings. I'd like one that I could mount a spare spindle on, then mount the rest of the assembly. I have an Aluminum I-beam trailer frame.

There was plenty of room on my EZ alum to mount my spare horizontally on the yolk behind the post (Trailer Mods 9 of 13). I carry my spare idler hubs separately in my trailer bag because it was so much easier to use the rim holes to fix the tire in place. As you can see there is not a lot of room to "lift" it off a long spindle.
If yours fits, I don't see why you could not mount the tire ,with the hub, so long as you had a (removable) spindle, or large bolt /washer(nyloc) to hold in place to an added cross plate across the bottom of the yolk, set up so it could not rotate.
May be way different on a 25 or your trailer. Just thinking.

My McClain Long Haul has the spare complete with bearings on a spindle bolted to a bracket welded to the bow post. Everything I could need is right there

My MajicTilt aluminum trailer also has a complete wheel/tire/hub/bearings mounted on a stub spindle near the winch post.
You may order parts from them to fit on your trailer.
The stub spindle in bolted to the trailer frame. Easy install.
In fact I may move mine forward so I can also move my winch forward so the boat will be better supported at the transom. _________________ On the HIGH TIDE-II, wife Carolyn and I.....Another summer fishing on the HIGH TIDE II in the Cook Inlet at Cape Ninilchik, Alaska.
