Outstanding Day on the Water. What a great cruise - thanks for putting this all together.
But yes, we still feel like Two Lucky Fish even though we had to lock through separately from the rest - kinda made us feel special!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the SBS
Mac & Linda -
And Thanks to David for the Fish Wacker. Should we bring them to the Boat Show for anyone who gets outta hand? |

I am so upset at myself for dragging my feet and not attending this cruise. when I went to bed last nite it was pouring down rain so I decided to go do something else. Man oh man, what a beautiful day to be on the water. there were puddles all around my house in the morning but the day turned great. It looks like you all had a fun time and there were quite a few boats. _________________ Roger on the "SENSEI"

Yoo hoo - we could sure use a photo album over here, pretty please! I have a few shots to upload!
What a great day! The fog flirted a little bit, especially while we were in Chinooks, but really we couldn't have asked for a better December day! NEXT year, lets start an hour earlier, and we promise, we won't have to bug out at 2:00 pm for a wedding - with a couple of more hours, we could crash the locks and cruise over to Elliott Bay, a Christmas parade of C-Dorys for the folks downtown! Maybe lunch at Maggie Bluffs for a little change (NOT that there is a darn thing wrong with Chinooks). _________________

Just reflecting on how LUCKY we were yesterday with the weather. Friday the 17th was FOGGY, probably foggy enough the trip would have been a no-go decision. Today the 19th is RAINY - maybe we'd have gone, maybe not, but it would have been a WHOLE lot less pleasant...

Posted a couple of pictures. Is there an easier way than posting 10 pictures at a time, one by one?
I still can't believe how beautiful it was - the weather, the scenery, the boats and the Brats! This morning (one day after) it was howling here - 18 knots with rain, but by this afternoon - back to a bright sunny day. I also really appreciated running Two Lucky Fish in the fresh water of Lake Washington. Sure made boat clean-up a whole lot easier... |

It was my first Sat off since August and to spend it with such a great group was a real gift. I had to fly on one wing. Tomorrow off to C-Dory. The tell tale quit producing entirely. Sure found out the advantage of two engines. Made it back to Gene Coulon just in time for the Ivar Clam Lights to come on and to welcome Brock ashore. _________________ C-Sick

Thanks for that greeting, C-Sick. Jeez, though, I wish I'd have stayed out another three hours. The lake was placid till midnight, and empty of boats. It was hard to call it a day.
We'll long remember December 18th. A rare and wonderful sunny and mostly warm Saturday before Christmas. Just outstanding. Twenty three people in 10 boats took a chance and made the right choice: Get out of the house and grab a year end cruise smack-dab in the middle of the city. We were rewarded generously.
Pat, thanks for pushing for the original plan of a group lock-through. The smell of saltwater and air was reason enough to take a peek out there. And the blubberous mass of territorial sea lions provided an amusing wildlife show. But the live entertainment ended abruptly when one of those dudes, the guy with the scar, bent whiskers, and big 'ol teeth roared, gave me a Terminator look, and slithered under the surface. I was afraid he was going to charge over and chomp on Bambina. |

Flying on one wing for the Lk WA Cruise prove to be related to a bad impeller. Don't know what screwed it up. Bill at C-Dory said running the engine out of water can do that. He also suggested when flushing with ear muffs to cover up the water intake just below the cavitation plate with duck tape. I will have to check it out.
Anna Leigh I hope you figured out your prop challenge. That was one big plastic bag. OUCH!
Still riding the high from a great day on the water. A good high will last me for several days. (Today would have been another great day on the water.)
Next year we might have to do an evening cruise with the Christmas Ships and take in the Clam Lights at Gene Coulon. |
