2003 25 C-dory for sale -- $48,000

Stored inside throughout it's life this boat is loaded with raymarine radar, gps, depth sounder, autopilot with wireless remote. Electric Windlass, wallas, with Honda 130 and 9.9 kicker. Shorelander galvanized trailer with new tires. Both engines recently serviced . . . boat is inexcellent condition. Call at 425-466-9888

Pauls, the picture has to be accessable on the internet somewhere, not just on your computer. You need either an album here or to post it to one of the web hosting picture services.

Hey Pauls, save yourself some work. Your boat is the former Helen O and pictures of her are HERE for all to see. Use the method in the previous post and put a few of them on this page for practice.

Thanks again Charlie. That is indeed the boat, originally the Helen O, those who are interested can picture it with an anchor and windlass, a radar dome (flush mounted on the roof) and of course with the engines mounted on the stern.

It's in great condition as I and the origiinal owners have had it in dry storage throughout.

I would suggest that you list in your area your C-Dory 25 on CRAIGSLIST.com. We have had good success using craigs list.

I checked on NADA Guides for the current price value of your boat. The boat including 130 hp and 9.9 hp Honda motors lists for $30.445.00 average retail. The new retail price in 2003 was $60,865.00. These prices included all of your electronics. Since the boat has been stored inside the price might be higher. I think a fair price would not be over 33,000.00. A boat is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

My suggestion would be to keep the boat and enjoy it.

Thanks for the suggestion . . . I wonder what the basis is for the supposed value put on the c-dory . . . the overwhelming majority are private transactions and if you do any checking you won't find this boat and equipment listed anywhere for the supposed $33,000. I've had many inquiries and almost all tell me it's very attractively priced.

Don't be discouraged by what NADA says. We have had lots of discussions about them being so much lower than the price these boats actually command. Without a doubt, the most accurate reference for used C-Dory prices is right here.

While looking for my current boat I sent off an e mail to Boat US and asked for a valuation on a boat I was interested in. They sent me a 2 page letter explaining why the value on C-Dory's are so difficult. They said each boat was so individualized that placing a value was next to impossible and that these were a niche type boat. When I asked about a value for my 3 year old Striper they were dead on for the value. Yes 30,000 range is way way low and would be insulting. I bought my 2007 22 cruiser a month ago for 43,000 and felt I got a good buy considering the equipment list. And yes the boat would certainly be worth what an individual is willing to pay. This is a tough market for boats right now and yet most of the boats that have been placed for sale have sold at a good value.
