Sorry if this is already on here somewhere but i was wondering if anyone here is running the 75 etec on a 22 cruiser. I currently have an older 90 evinrude 2 stroke on it now and like the performance but i have the opportunity to grab a 75 etec up super cheap but wonder if it will be much slower... would like a 90 etec but this is about half the price with 22 hours on it. |

Isn't the 75 the same inline displacement as the 90. I'd certainly check what it might cost to uptune the hp if you needed to? If the savings are that great? I just took a look at the web site and I don't know what year, etc.
I have an 08 90 etec on mine and would prefer to not go lower, but before that, it ran admirably on an old Johnson 70 2stk.
