Anyone, I need a replacement outside plate for my door lock mechanicism. I am unable to lock my door. I have a 2005 22' Cruiser. Has anyone had experience replacing the locking mechanicism. Where can I buy just the outside plate or the whole locking mechanicism? I do not want to go w/ a Hasp and pad lock, but I am hurting right now!
I called Sea Sport last week (WED) and spoke w/ Jeff (assume he is the part's manager) I explained my problem and told him it was urgent, as my boat is currently moored!
He did not know C-Dory's and said that they just bought C-Dory 2 weeks ago! and he would have to research it!!! No call to date! Hope this does not portend future service/support!

Thanks
Randy

I'd send a picture of you assembly to Trio Ving (a very good Norwegian Company) and explain the situation to them, they may be able to point you to a US supplier. Let us know who it is if you find out something.

C where this link takes you.......... http://www.southco.com/class/me-offshore-swing-door-latches-7409.html

If not this lock set, check the site for more. I think this is where I got key blanks for my 2004 22' Cruiser door.

Randy, you may be on your own on this one...Jeff is not the "parts manager" ( or maybe he is!) - he is the president of Sea Sport, Inc. I suppose he will help you if he can, but they just bought the C-Dory molds and tooling. Nothing more. The "old" C-Dorys are not really Jeff's responsibility, and while he may be able to help, it will only be an accommodation if he can help. Just be glad that our boats are not totally orphaned!

Buck at Tern Boat Salvage may have some. He posted his phone number on another thread recently. He's at the old C-Dory factory.

From what I understand, Sea Sport has a ton of inventory from the old factory that they need to identify and organize before they can respond to customer requests.

Try Diamond Seaglaze as I believe they were supplying the locks to Fluid Dory and Reynolds Dory. They might be able to supply parts .

Randy,

I think your lock is a Mobella Lock. At least my 2006 has that lock. They are made in Sweden.

I had a similar problem last Sept. All I had to do was call Les at the factory and give him my key number. I had a whole new lock in 3 days, no charge.

Sea Sport probably has all that stock now but who knows where.

Check out this link: Scroll down to item#69

http://www.fpmarine.com/Latches%20Locks%20Hardware.htm#Mobella hardware

That looks like it to me.

Good luck, mate.

Capt Dan
