... your best shoes are Topsiders.
...the local marina is #1 on your speed dialer.
... your new GPS/MapCharter costs $1,699 and your car needs new tires.
... you seem to have at least one broken boat part in your car at all times.
... before the wedding, you were registered at Boat U.S. and West Marine.
I am sure you'al have a few of your own...so feel free to share your best ones with the rest of us....Boat Bums. _________________ Mike Taylor

If you average more than one post a day or two on this site.
You refer to building attached to your house as a "two boat garage".
You refer to which side of the bed you sleep on as port or starboard.
You talk about how you like the looks of "the stern" when you're referring to a lady walking down the street.
You know the C-Brat handles better than the first names of many of your friends. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

Mike, ol' buddy... MIGHT?
I didn't see anything in your list about cutting off a perfectly good pilothouse.
Happy Sails to You,

This comment is aimed specifically at us "trailer boaters" and is what my wife really said to me several years ago......
....."either SELL THE BOAT, or BUY A NEW TRUCK!"......
Two hours later I called my wife on the phone and said, "Hi honey, I'm sitting in my new truck"......her reply...."Good!". _________________ Dave S.

Maybe your wife should give my wife a call - I need a new truck. |

Roger, no phone call necessary, it is really quite easy. Start borrowing HER car/van to tow the boat and when you use it, forget to transfer her work ID badge to your car so she comes flying up the driveway after departing for work and realizing she doesn't have her ID badge. This was the ONLY time I benefited from having her "p..... off" at me . |

...If your suitcase is a roll-up waterproof bag
...If you have extra stainless polish, boat wash & wax, and marine adhesives but are almost out of toothpaste and not sure when you will be able to get to a store that carries it.
...If you have a spare spare tire for the boat trailer and pick-up but the work car is in the driveway with a low tire.
...If your favorite radio stations are "Marine Weather, Seattle traffic, and 68"
...If your boat gas tank gets filled every trip but the wifes car gets $5.00 regular.
...If your clock radio is set to come on to the marine weather channel and if you never have to sign on to the C-Brats because you never log out.
Harvey

if you know what west system tastes like
if you've considered having kids, just so you can get more rods in the water
if you've ever slept on your boat...in the garage
if you've ever tried to show off your draft
if you spent so long at the c-dory booth at the boat show, they finally offered you a job
if a broken down motor turned a fishing trip in to a camping trip and it was great
if all your friends are bearing buddies _________________ Kevin Richards - Catch 22 |

So, was sleeping in the boat the result of suggestions to the wife that more kids would really help you catch more fish? |
