I was up in Vancouver this weekend to run my 3rd half marathon. On the way back, I needed to stop someplace to buy BC fishing licenses for use later in the year. We wandered off the main road and askeda few questions and wound up over at Stevetson harbor. It's a cute little town centered around a commercial fishing harbor. From what I read online it looks like there's very little space for pleasure boats or transient moorage. That's a pity as the town is very cute and has an abundance of good restaurants and shops. Anyone else ever visit this place? _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

Roger, you have a couple of letters transposed, it is "Steveston" not "Stevetson." Here is their community web site. I confess as many times as we have gone by the exit for Steveston on our way to Vancouver, we have never popped in there. _________________

Thanks for the correction, Pat. It's worth the trip next time you go. Allocate a couple of hours to wander around. It would be truly fabulous if the marina had more support for pleasure pleasure boating. Everything you need is within 4-5 blocks of the waterfront and there seemed to be plenty to do. |
