Thanks Bob,

How you have me wondering what I really need. Shocked The lights are needed primarily for slow speed close quarter navigating. Maybe a couple floods mounted way forward would be the answer. Much less $$$$ too!

Bob,
Does your "tractor lite" setup interfer with your mag. compass in any way?

I'm following with the permanent mount on the bow rail, as we speak. The
welding was finished today and I hope to finish by next week sometime.
The pixs are already started under my upgrades.

There is a clampon mount available for the Golite/Striker series, but I
don't like the idea of "mixing unlike metals".

One thing I'd suggest, after loosing a few sets of magnetic mounted lights from towed vehicles, use a spring loaded clamp instead. Like this -

They can also be clamped anywhere you have a lip or rail.

The magnets are small, but high strength--I purchased them from some on line magnet outfit. I have used them on the car roof to hold some gear in place, and they didn't move at 65 mph...

No affect on the compass. They are stowed away from the compass--and at the bow are about 8 feet away--far enough to have no significant effect.

I am sure that railing clamps would work too. On the anchor, the light is below the deck level, so no glare off the deck or railings.
