The following was copied from a guides site. Looks like we will get a few more weeks here and there this season. I know that a lot of this extra time in the seasons was a direct result of two organizations that I belong too. The PSA and The CCA. both of these groups are active in representing angles in this state whether we know it or not. Please take the time to join one groups or the other or both as I have so we can continue to expand our seasons and work to make the division of the resources fair. Thank you

New opportunities

Marked Selective Chinook Salmon fishing allows for Salmon Seasons to be set at highest level since the 1990's

Marine Area 9 and Area 10 will open for retention of hatchery origin fin clipped Chinook starting on July 16 and continuing thru August 31 as a season structure for Chinook retention.
Coho retention will be allowed on all Coho, Fin Clipped or not, no restriction in Marine areas 8, 9 or 10.
Pink (Humpy) Salmon are expected to be in abundance and a bonus limit is allowed.

The salmon limit in Central Puget Sound marine areas 8, 9 and 10 this summer is
Four Salmon per person per day, only two can be Chinook or Coho and at least two must be Humpy's.
This makes for lots of possible combinations.

Some notable marked selective Chinook salmon fishing expansions from last year are

Marine area 7
Two and one half months added to the winter selective Chinook fishing.

Marine Area 8.1 and 8.2
Two months added to winter selective Chinook fishing

Marine Area 9
Summer selective Chinook fishing season expanded to 47 days
No winter changes

Marine Area 10
Summer selective Chinook fishing season expanded to 47 days
One half month winter selective Chinook retention added to winter

There are additional marked Selective Chinook Salmon opportunities in Marine areas 5, 6, 7, 8.1, 8.2, 9, 10, and 11 this next year.

This is a good step forward and was accomplished by
significant preseason planning by WDFW and sport Adviser's to identify the highest priority areas,
sharing that information with the tribal co managers,
making sure that these changes provided the protection of critical stocks of concern
WDFW along with involved citizens staying committed to the package.

The new regulations booklet will be out by May 1

Thanks for the update Tom.
For those who troll, C-Dawg sold several of us on a remote kicker control which uses a servo and a hand held control box attached by 25' cable. The mfg is www.Troll-Masterpro.com. Price can very based upon the kicker make and model but for the Honda 9.9, its delivered cost is $229.55.
