I have a 22' 1995 cruiser and I am buying a 2009 Yamaha 90hp with a 20" shaft. I want to buy a stainless prop and I'd like your advice as to the size and pitch I should choose. I'm looking for fuel efficiency and enough power to plane the boat easily. I don't know anything about these things and the prop is $300 bucks, I don't want to just choose anything. Thanks.

If you folks think I should choose other than for efficiency thats fine, i'll be using the boat for trolling crab traps etc.. so low speed is important. Any advice is greatly appreciated

15 Pitch is where you need to be . Merc ,Solas,Yamaha [just bought Precision] and Powertech all make good stainless props. Merc has a good prop selector on their website . Congrats on the boat !

You might consider a seat belt and neck support. Its gonna be a rocket by comparison !
