...has got to be shoving the foam seat cushions into the covers. When the poor sap who has to do that gets to the big v-berth cushion he'll probably quit. I'd rather smear fiberglass resin on my head.

Yeah, well, I got the little buggers. Then I took the foam out of the cushion I just got at the factory to make it fit a little better where it goes, and guess what?? Those guys at the factory cheat! The leading edge of the foam - the edge that has to slide all the way into the bag - was covered with a piece of plastic wrap to be slippery. Plain old Saran Wrap from the guy's wife's kitchen. Them CD folks are smart. No wonder they stay in business while others shut down.

I wonder if the foam is stuffed at King Canvas or at the C Dory factory?

Common trick in the auto upholstery industry too. That foam does not want to slide against material. I've seen plastic garbage bags used too. Laughing They slide the foam/plastic in and once it's positioned, the plastic is pulled out.

Works for putting cowboy boots Rolling Eyes on over an extra pair of socks in the winter. Use a bread loaf bag. Teeth

I did a search on C-Dory once in Facebook. There are several individuals who list their employer as C-Dory. We get to see and own the results of their labor. Most of these folks look like hard working kids.

And you have never asked Mr. Anderson to get out of the kitchen? Or the galley? Or maybe completely out of the house?

I might enjoy cooking, but in our house, the kitchen is definitely a"Pink" room. I get shoed out of there on a regular basis. Hey, it's OK, she is a terrific cook.

The trick for fitting in the foam, is to wrap the foam with EZ film.
http://www.rochfordsupply.com/shop/Foam/EZ_Film/EZ_Film/index.html or other thin painters type film. Then stick your vacuum cleaner hose into the foam, and you'll be amazed how small and flat the foam gets.
Insert foam and film into cover, remove vacuum, and expando-magic!
You can remove some of the film if you like, but you won't need to.

C-Dory has an in house upholstry shop, so I beleive that the cushions are interior window covers are done in house, other canvas by King.

Unless I'm wrong, which is entirely possible.

Matt, I think you're right. I bought a bunch of window covers at their garage sale at SBS09 and I think they were made there.

The kitchen in my house is mine. I share it with susan only for times she needs to bake ( which see does very well ) but if cooking of meat or more then one thing at a time needs done I just kick her and the dam dog out.
