I thought I would post a picture of how I installed the Owl LED anchor light. It was recommended by Steve on SeaSpray and purchased from the following web site.

Hi Rob,

Very nice installation!

I compared the Owl light with a $100+ WM unit that has a double row of LEDs and the Owl was brighter.

Did you buy it on the pole or did you have to alter it your self?

I mounted it on the factory original Perko pole after cutting off the original light fixture.

I bought the Dr. LED GE90 Star bulb ($45 from Fisheries Supply) and it fit right into the standard Perko anchor light. Not cheap, but it is legal and doesn't require any work to install. Can't comment on the power usage difference since I haven't measured. Here's a picture:

I went to Fisheries Supply and found Dr. LED lights but no clue as to the correct bulb; there was no listing for a GE 90 replacement. How did you get the right bulb?
