Has anyone come up with a good intermittent wiper solution? Other than the obvious finger of course.

I haven't done it yet but I always thought the best solution would be a momentary switch down by the floor I could push with my foot. Not the same as programmed intermittent but with no gas or brake pedals my feet got nothing to do anyway. _________________ TyBoo Mike

I'm always tapping my feet with the stereo, so my wipers would then my wipers would be in synch with the music. That might be cool! |

You could also synch it with a pacemaker...That way, if your beat faster, as if you got in a troublesome situation in a storm, the wipers would keep the windows cleared!
OTOH, if you were in the bunk, with going on, you might burn out the motors....
I don't have a pacemaker, but I do have a bunk.....

This is what I did. There is another on the other side of the cuddy opening for the port wiper.

Thanks for the replies guys. The West Marine solution is nice but the $200 is a little steeper than what I would like to pay. The foot-activated switch is a good idea as well but I still would like something more automated.
I found a straight forward intermittent-wiper circuit diagram online and have decide to build one myself. If it looks good, I'll post the results.
Thanks again for the replys. |
