Patty here. Pat and I are getting weary of balancing our coleman stove on the cooler in the cockpit. I like the removable tables that attach to a chrome bar. We have considered having a bar fabricated to go on the transom but we need to keep a space open to access the swimstep and a space to access the kicker. That doesn't leave much room for a bar but I suppose it could be done. I have tried searching the albums for others' set ups but there are too many albums now. Does anybody have a suggestion other than what we're thinking about?

Pretty sure it is the 25. They don't have a swim step on the 16.

Hi Patty,

Magma makes a table that clamps on a rail. They call it a fish prep table but we use it for most anything BBQ related since we don't fish. Would it hold a coleman stove? Not sure how it would interfere with camper canvas. Good luck!

Patty,

We went the simple route and fabricated a table that just slips in. It has been the best add-on I've done for the boat. I made one for El and Bill as well. I will have mine at south sound next month if you can wait that long..If you would like pictures sooner I will be happy to take some and PM to you. And, were I to be tempted with some good dark stout or porter Very Happy Very Happy I would even make yours if you decide you like the idea.

Patty,
The steroidially challenged C-Dory cousins have a very stable, removable attachment for the salon table which could easily be used elsewhere to hold up a table such as you need.

If I can clear out the C**p from the cabin today I will take a picture and post it in my album

Merv

Pat,

I fabricated a table out of lumber/plywood that fits in the back. It serves both as a table and an extra settee. I'm sure it's not exactly what you're looking for but it might give you some ideas....it's in my album.

Chuck

Patty,

On Valkyrie, our 22, we have the Magma bait/fish prep table mounted on a factory-option SS transom bar and love it. We use it for fishing, snacks, adult beverages and a small backpack stove when it's too hot to cook on the Wallas. It also easily swivels out of the way so we can start the kicker. We can also climb over the bar without trouble to access the swim platform for swimming, fishing or getting into/out of the Achilles.

Pics in our album, page one.

Good luck in your search!

I will need some help on this one, The best add on for the 25 stern area was on a boat whos name I forgot. It was a home built slid in wall of sheet alum and stainless rail. It had a 12 in high wall that acted as a splash well with stainless rails. I'm not doing a good job of describing this I know. It served several purposes. First as a higher splash well and second the rails allow you to mount a vast assortment of tables rod holders cup holder etc... I just cant remember the boat or owner.

What you describe sounds similar to what was done on Sea Skipper by Hank Brooks:

However, the splashwell dam is not removable but the rail is:

He also fashioned a nifty dinette table for the cockpit:

More photos of these items are in his Sea Skipper album (not in mine with the same name).
