We've done sunrises and sunsets, and now that we've had a great blast of winter weather, how about some winter landscapes.

Here's one of the upper Rogue River Canyon in southern Oregon....

Nice image! If I post a "winterscape" from our area, Pat and Tom will be all over my butt. I have plenty from our "winter" in Yellowstone last summer. Wink I'll be looking forward to seeing what others contribute. I like seeing snow... in photos.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

<http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slideshow.jsp?mode=fromshare&Uc=10zt7z9a.5oayxsxy&Uy=-4bxhn6&Ux=0> will take you to a short slide show documenting the snow fall in our yard in Las Vegas on 12/22/08

Today it was 58* and sunny so we got rid of the annuals that froze last week and trimmed the perennials.

So far 2009 is OK.

Jim, let's see if the FD dolphins can top THIS one...Patty, Marc and I were standing here just a short while ago looking out over this view, now totally transformed...

Credit where credit is due, this is not my image, it is from my friend Rory Galloway of G-Logics. David - Rory will be giving us a signed print for the Taproom!

For the benefit of C-Brats that are not familiar with the area, the falls in the picture Pat posted is of Snoqualmie Falls. Pat and David's Snoqualmie Falls Brewery is named after these falls........or is it the other way around ie: the falls named after the brewery? Laughing ......at any rate their brewery and tap room is just a few blocks away from the picturesque setting!

Out my front window Midtown Anchorage Alaska October 07.
Chugach Mountains in the distance.

Off my back porch today, it’s been below zero for about 2 weeks now.
The horror frost is thick on the trees.

Shot out front window with Chugach range shrouded in ice fog.

Pat, that IS a gorgeous image! Very Happy Just because I don't like being IN the cold and snow doesn't mean I can't appreciate the beauty of it. Wink

Warm wishes,
Jim

Yes, that is 268 foot high Snoqualmie Falls, the site of the West's first hydro plant (1898) and the renowned Salish Lodge. The brewery is named after the falls, the falls are named after the river and river valley, which in turn are named after the tribe...
