I found these pictures of vintage boats entertaining. Thought I'd share it. Click through the pages on the left side to see them all. There seemed to be a big "car" influence in their design.

Spencer, Very cool boats. I love the line for the Wizard Wasp, "inherent impraticality". My favorite, the Tomahawk On Target, with control stick steering! Wild.

Thanks for the link-some most interesting "boats". Although I boated in this era, my boats were all wooden or planked wood. Fins on the cars were bad enough, but it sure is fun looking at what was built! _________________ Bob Austin

I'm with Bob on this one. I just added a photo to Kingfisher Album which shows two real boats which are what I first ventured to sea on way back in the 1950's. They are still going strong and are lovingly maintained.

I'm not sure about this year, but in the past couple years Fiberglassics has brought some of those beauties to the Tacoma Dome Boat Show held in late March early April. Very cool. _________________ Commodore Jim & Adm. Laurie

I'm a big fan of the Fiberglassics organization. I think I posted some photos I took two summers back...Yeah, here they are.
Sorry those are so small. I'm not really sure what I was thinking. The full sized images are available at my post on Navagear. _________________ Timothy R. R. Flanagan

Lots of fun to see, but not one as good looking as any C-Dory. _________________ Pat & Fred Messerly |

Wonderful pix. Two observations, I remember all of them (too old) and those damned headlights are back. Pontooners like 'em on high beam, you can see 'em, but you can't tell what they are. _________________ Allen & Genie |
