Steelhead in the Columbia

Anyone fish for steelhead in the Columbia at the mouth of the Cowlitz?

What techniques worked? Trolling? On the hook plunking?

For starters, try the Search engine:

Put "steelhead, Cowlitz, Columbia" in the Subject Field, and

"CW" in the Search for Author field

Then look through the promising threads in the results.

Hopefully, CW will pick up on this request and chime in.

If not, you might PM him, and see if he's interested in talking to you privately.

That's his prime fishing territory and he's an absolute authority on the Cowlitz, the Columbia, and salmon and steelhead there. Plus he's a damned fine fellow as well as a great fisherman!
