jimmydj-
We're just a bunch of friendly boat nuts that trade 1. information on boats, 2. friendship, 3. funny stuff, and 4. friendly insults!
Because we know and like each other very well, and have discussed some of these topics several times before, we have kinda given ourselves implicit permission to socialize and be funny along with doing the information exchange!
So don't be surprised if we sometimes get off topic here and there!
Welcome to the party!
Glad you're here and part of the family!

Another Texas Jim!
We feel the same way: this site is an important part of our lives. We've made great friends, found out about interesting places to travel, and have learned a bunch thanks to the folks who participate here.
Tell us about how and where you're using your boat, Jim. We enjoy the Corpus/Port A/Rockport areas.
Best wishes,
Jim B. _________________ Jim & Joan

you may want to consider some professional counsling
I know that since I found the C-Brats my hair has grown back, I no longer have the restless leg syndrome, my acid reflux is reduced and I have an enhanced.....well you know
side effects may include increased computer use, increased urge to go boating, overloading of toilet tank with marine publications. ask you Doctor if C-Brats is right for you _________________ Ken

Patty claims I am obsessed with this site - and who am I to disagree with such a wise woman (wise, as David pointed out, because she won't let me have power tools)?
Seriously, C-Brats become like your new family, and if you get into CBGTs, these folks will become your new best friends...

Truely an amazing group of people. I find that many of us have a common draw because of the type of boats we love. Although there are differences, there are many similarities. I have found a number of eagle scouts, VW van owners, and many people who just love the out of doors. _________________ Bob Austin

I see that you are new to our community... Just start traveling with your boat and you will see just how many fine folks there are..... it's amazing... We are now on the road, yet never far from a friend ...or a dealer that will move heaven and earth if needed.... it truly is a different group of people.... I can honestly say I never met a C-Brat that I diden't like........ (and knowing Roger King, is saying a bunch)

Jim:
Welcome again! Have you moved from Austin to Corpus Christi?
C-Brats now have the Texas coast covered- Wild Blue down south, TUXPAN in the middle, and Topcat up here in Clear Lake.
We had left Topcat in the Corpus Christi marina for a couple of months this summer and came down periodically to explore and enjoy. I loved Rockport and Key Allegro, and all the great fishing spots around CC. I also gave the US Navy a few anxious moments when I unintentionally veered too close to the naval base along the CC ship channel. Having that armored gunboat suddenly appear next to you is quite an experience!
The run from CC to Offats Bayou in Galveston is an easy one-day trip along the ICW with lots of pretty country along the way. Come up some time and let us show you around. _________________ Alok

With due respect to Will Rogers, this should still be a quotation worthy of notation somewhere on the C-Brat site, perhaps on the new site being developed, IMHO.
