Just bought our 22' cruiser in Sept. and have had it out on the Miss. River (4) times this fall. Our boat came from Lake Superior but has adjusted to the Upper Miss. River. The information from this forum is great. Learned a lot from all the postings. Our friends also bought a C-Dory and we journeyed up to La Cross Wi. on the river enjoying the fall colors. Installed a windlass already, a Power Winch 31 and waiting for spring to try it out. Planning a trip down to Kentucky Lake via the Ill, Ohio and Tennesse Rivers in 2009. |

That's going to be a wonderful trip. And your boat is the right boat for the trip. Let us know how it comes out.

Glad to have you on this Forum
We have a 22' also and love it we did a little crusing in tenn. Last year and would love to come back.
Look for the Get to Geathers & Cruising at different locations, we have been on about 4 and enjoyed all of them.

Welcome!
My wife and I bought our 22 last March, and passed right by Byron on I-39 on our way up to Superior, WI. We bought the Comfortably Numb from Northwest Outlet...any chance you did the same? I think Dave Miller at NWO had a 2005 for sale about the time you bought yours. Give my album a look...if you were at Northwest Outlet, you will recognize a couple of the shots on their property.
We are down south of you a bit...about 50 miles east of St. Louis off I-70. Kinda nice to have another of these great boats in Illinois! There aren't many of us. Let us know if you're ever headed down this way.
Welcome again,
Mark

Welcome. Best boating group in the world.
If you are boating the Mississippi River, I read an interesting book, OLD GLORY by Jonathan Rabin. He did a voyage on the Mississippi in a 14' boat. He is English, so he tells it like it is. It is a Random House, paperback book. Once you get into it, you can not put it down.
