I will be adding a tall radar arch to my boat and was wondering about the merits of aluminum vs SS for the arch. I searched the archives and all I found was a similar question from some time ago that never got answered. So, what is your advice? _________________ Jim

Stainless looks better and holds up well in the salt but it cost alot. A lot of fishing boat makers use alum on salt boat and it also holds up well but is not as pretty. Either will work. if you go with alum try a product called SHARKS HIDE. It protects the finish of the alum and does not allow it to oxidize. works really well from all accounts. _________________ Thomas J Elliott
