Hello C-Dory folks. Very impressed with C-brats. What is the recommended time to repaint the bottom of the hull? I just bought a used 2004 22' Cruiser that has been in the water (ocean) year round.
Thanks!

You need to know what is on there now--is it an ablative paint?--rubs off easily. If so, then go with another ablative. If it is an epoxy--then you can go with either an epoxy or ablative.

Trinidad SR (epoxy)- Ultima SR (Petit--Ablative). Micron series, depending on where you are. I am redoing my 18 footer (Century)--and using Petit Ultima SR, because I occasionally trailer it, and I had an ablative on before.

It's good to ask around your area as to what works. Some paints seem to
work better in some waters than others. Ablatives seem to work well
most places and they save you from having to sand off layers of dead paint
some number of years from now.
