DAMN....that place was neat...maybe we can take up a collection and buy it for an official brat clubhouse.
M's M's procedure went well...so far, they have to keep an eye on her for a few more days
you all keep a sharp eye out for pirate boats. _________________ Ken

What a great group of people. Thanks to all. Once again, I didn't take any pictures, but I know there were a bunch taken so here's an album for them. Please. Thank you.
We had a great ride back right up to almost Astoria. Then the wind showed up. From Astoria to Warrenton was pretty hairy. Some very good friends of mine were crossing the bay bridge on their way to church as we were fighting through the slop and they said the water was going completely over the boat. The wind was gusting to 40 mph. When we made it into port, there was my friend in his Easter finest waiting at the dock to give us a hand. Good thing, too. It was blowin hard. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Mike,
We drove to Chinook and saw the river was pretty rough, glad you and the girls made it home safely. We posted a few photos but then it said it was done with errors at the bottom of the page and it wouldn't let us post anymore. We will try again tomorrow.
Wonderful to see and visit with so many of our C-Brat family. _________________ RUSS & TONI |

This was a great trip and it was good to meet what was for the most part, a new chapter of C-brats (for us).
After all of you left Sunday, a meeting was held on the bridge of Capital Sea and after much debate, it was decided not to rename her:
FISH MAGNET.
An amendment was offered to rename only the port half, but when first mate /owner kathleen exited the vessel, the amendment failed for lack of a second.
Easter supper was all you could eat columbia springer salmon. Supper this evening...you guessed it, springer salmon.
A special thanks to C-Dawg for some late night help, Tybo for the sturgeon 101 class (can't wait for June), and Traveler for use of your cribbage board.
Our only regret results from setting the digital camera down next ro the compass and killing the memory card and all of our photos. _________________ Capn Steve & 1st Mate Kath

Here's proof of mine.
By the way, how do I get the photo to show up here? I tried the [img][/img] tags, but it didn't work. _________________ Rick & Shirley

Thanks, Roger. And thanks for posting the pic. I used that exact code, but didn't get the photo, I got the code. Why?
Tom, I used brined plug cut herring on a 5' leader, 12" dropper, and 4 oz weight fished right on the bottom. I noticed on Saturday that most fish where caught using a Fish Flash inline. I didn't have any of that bling. But Steve got his without any bling either, on Saturday. |

Rick, now I can see that my fish though slightly smaller was much better looking. Both were dumb as they come to go for a herring without its head and scented as a sardine and both were attracted, no doubt, to the green underbelly of Capital Sea.
Oh and Rick, help me out here. That Tom is such a sceptic. |

Well, the wife and I headed back on Sunday and stopped in Kalama. That's a nice little marina. We'll probably be visiting when the weather in a bit warmer to explore. In Kalama we ate lunch with some good friends - (John, Amy, Joe) that was a nice little break.
With thoughts of the weekend - I think next year I am going to have to take another day off and make it a four day. Just a bit longer would have been just right.... |

Excellent place to eat in Kalama is the Lucky Dragon. Finest chinese food I've every had. Has quantity and quality. If you visit the marina, check out my boat on G4.
