Bill,
Those guys at the factory are really pumpin' out those C-Dorys....It looks like our vessels aren't going to get to meet each other until they both get to Cornet Bay! I was hoping to get a pix of both of them at the factory, but yours was so fast that I didn't even get down there. _________________ Dave S.

Whew - thanks for getting us back on topic, Dave. I was just about to rename this thread "Da New Da Odge"...
Yup, I think a meeting of the Red Boats at EQ will probably happen - Les mumbled some excuse about getting three other boats ready for Santa, and then he's going to take time off at Christmas. Man - some people and their priorities... _________________ Will, C-Brat Nerd |

I am going to get Christmas Day off...I think. Last year we added-on to the parts room and my sister's husband, Larry (who loves that kinda stuff), came over on Christmas Eve day to lend a hand...we finished up on Christmas morning but we made it on time to their house for the big meal.
We're going to shut down the store operation this year after the end of business hours on Saturday, Dec 20th and re-open on Jan 2nd. In that time I hope to get another new addition to the parts room built, the old parts room re-organized and new parts put away, a new customer counter built for the store, a new alcove built for the file cabinets in the office, a new special tools board put up, inventory taken, the shop cleaned & re-organized, and two new boats delivered to their owners.
Then I've got some big plans for a couple of red siblings in the first part of January; they'll probably be next to each other in the shop for rigging. There's the huge accummulation of "stuff" to be hauled out from the parts room...it's all coming to me now...one for you, and you for you...one for you, and one for you...we're going to have to mount the motors as the very first step so we can tell them apart! They're going to make great Poster Children boats though...I'll have to use them as my photo examples for rigging options. _________________ Les

It's a deal! Lots of photos, Bill, and I'll try not to mess up the camera. Takes better pics if I just point 'n' shoot. Makes me look like a pro though -- not sure what kind.

Sorry Bill - no red boats. Les said he might fetch it soon.
I left your bag of goodies with Les. The reed switch is the same as you had before. That little guy I had the picture of needs at least 5 volts to power the LED and close the circuit. The counter is only 3 volts. The switch that does work is the same one B~C is using. He whittled off most of the aluminum bracket and glued the switch to the windlass. I'm planning to do something similar instead of making more of those fancy stud gizmos. I'll let you know how it works out. Got any more of them little bitty magnets? We don't have any burglar alarm stores around here. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Cool. Can you wait until SBS for the magnets? If so, I'll bring you a few. If not, I'll point you towards where I got mine (online). |

So what's red, white and grey and sitting on a trailer, on an island, somewhere in the northern reaches of Puget Sound?
