I'm sure glad that the sea trial for Sea Shift was yesterday! Today, I would not have wanted to be out in the water as we had a sudden storm with high winds. I'm only able to communciate on the internet at this time because we have a generator at work and our phone lines are still operable. Currently 50,000 to 100,000 homes are without power at this time. We had a backlog of emergency calls, with every available unit and all personnel busy. Numerous trees down, on cars, on houses, across wires and roadways.
Hopefully, having this windstorm today, means no wind this weekend for the Lopez Gathering!
(Finally, I was able to get in contact with C & J at home and they have our home generator powered up).

Yeah Dave, wasn't that storm something. I ate my lunch out by the Dungeness Spit yesterday and watched some huge wind waves slamming the Spit. The waves were estimated to be 7 to 9 feet. The forecast still looks like a gem for this weekend.
