what is the consensus on the product called "PRG"
I have been using it for about a year, what do you all think of it?

James-
What is PRG?
I looked through 12 pages of a Google Search for "PRG" and found nothing related to boats. Ditto in the WM website.

sorry about the name confusion....
west marine sells it, it is not expensive at all,$22 will treat a lot of fuel.
if it does half of what it says, I would be happy.

I have several friends who are sold on the PRI G and the PRI D which is a diesel additative. I have consdered them similar to Stabil, which I use regularly. But certainly wouldn't hurt to use. Not sure how that relates to Ring Free, which is a Yahama recommended product. But there are all sorts of products which are susposed to keep carbon deposition to a minum. My understanding is that many outboard mechanics do like the Yahama "Ring Free". Of course the old standard is "Marvel Mystery Oil"--which seems to have been around as long as internal combustion engines have been...All of this may be snake oil, or not, but I currently only add Stabil and Startron--and am not sure that the latter does much in gas engines... _________________ Bob Austin

Anyone have any information on how these would relate to say the Lucas brand additive "Fuel Additive, Fuel Treatment, Upper Cylinder Lubricant and Injector Cleaner"?
I purchased some of this stuff and was going to give it a whirl this weekend... below is a link that describes it's (advertised) benefits in greater detail.
