Hi Mike - my boat has a SS superstructure that was fabbed and installed by the previous owner (who has now gone to his greater reward). It looks like a good place for the installation and is quite high above the cabin top. |

Well the 1715 has been ordered from Consumers - thanks all for convincing input. As I previously stated I have a Raymarine C70 chartplotter installed and connected to an Icom M422 VHF with an NMEA lead. How does one interface the radar unit with the C70 along with the VHF? Googling the topic only makes me more confusder..... |

You will need the connector cable for NMEA 0183 for the Furuno and NMEA 0183 output from the Raymarine unit. This will allow waypoints to be identified on the Radar.
It will also allow GPS data to be displayed on the Radar screen. _________________ Bob Austin
