Not sure I can make it BUT I work about 2-3 blocks from the Lake Union moorage for Argosy. If anyone wants to meet up after the Argosy cruise and tour my lab at the UW, or just catch a drink together, I'd be happy to oblige. Might even be talked into giving someone a ride from there to Hawthorne suites if needed. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

But whatever you do, don't have a drink with him at his lab. You just can't trust them biochemical dudes. _________________ TyBoo Mike

I think you're right, Mike. We might end up growing fins or something!

Roger-
We might take you up on your offer to tour your lab! I've been to the U of W fishery school several times , but never to "your world". |

Larry,
I'd be happy to show you around. Also, contrary to what has been suggested above, I think you can "trust them biochemical dudes" as we all are "biochemical dudes" (or dudettes) at our core. Actually the one of the neat things about DNA is that we are all coded with 99.9% identical sequences. Hence, all the racism in the world is focussed on traits encoded by a fraction of the 0.1% of the DNA that is different when we perhaps should be focussed on the 99.9% that's the same.
So at the DNA level, Tyboo and I or even Oldgrowth Dave and I are almost identical....
But clearly there's a strong environmental influence in how one thinks.... |

That really clears a lot up for me. Now I understand what happened to Seattle.

Took the cover off Lizzie, put in at Newport ramp and did a lazy lap around Mercer Island. Man, is it good to get on the water for a few hours!Talk about happy DNA! Dotty says I can't take the snow tires off yet, though. |

If I get my chores done I might be able to have some fun on the water. Is the plan to meet on the freshwater side of the locks at 13:30? _________________ C-Sick

Roger --
We had our DNA checked through the Nat'l Geographic Genographic Project and just got the results back before leaving CO -- sure enough, as many of you would have suspected, El is rather closely linked to Sister Teresa and my DNA closest relative is a chimp in the simian cage in the Cincinnati Zoo. _________________ El and Bill (former live-aboards)

C-Sick- I am planning to be there, the freshwater side of the locks, with the Lizzie at 1330. Shannon Greenway, of Tom&Shan will be along to take some pictures. Hope to see you there. Marty |
