I haven’t figured out this Origo 400 yet. Haven’t tried. Do I need Matches?

A barbecue lighter works well on these alcohol stoves.

You should have a gasket that need to be remove before use, if not present, the alcohol will evaporate quite fast. Even with the gasket, it will evaporate so unless you know it was filled up recently, it’s probably empty. If you have 2 burner, you can just fill one if you are not planning to use it much.
They are great stove and extremely safe. Not quite as much heat output as propane, but unless you are in a huge hurry to get your coffee in the morning, it won’t make a big difference.

Well. So it is a good stove. Apparently Tom replaced the Wallace with this. I have a microwave and an electric coffee pot so I would only use this for the main meat course. Great day on The river. Started at the springs. Ended up at the Yacht Club. Long freak’n day but met incredible people.

In my opinion it is a very good stove, very simple and few thing to go wrong. Fuel is readily available and like I said before, safe fuel in a boat, if you spill some, just wipe it and clean your windows with it.
If you are not happy with it, I can take it off your hand Very Happy

I like the simplicity of the stove, but at least I can get rid of it if I don’t like it thanks. All in all the boat is very nice, but it needs to be thoroughly organized with a system of storage that everyone can understand. So for right now, everything is just out on the Counters waiting for my wife to organize them when I get home. I see some betting needs. I see some potty needs, but mostly I just see the need for organization.

I’m always happy to help another boater.

Organization can take time and it’s ok. It’s nice to use the boat some (and you seems to be enjoying that very much right now, that’s awesome) and figuring out where you want things to be. do you have storage under the v-berth?
