My wife and I just made a trip from North Dakota to Virginia to pickup C-Song a 2007 25' Cruiser from a fellow c-brat. C-Song has a storied history as she was used as an auxiliary USCG boat. Congrats on your adventure!

Congratulations! We’ve had ours about 10 years and still dream and plan new adventures. We drove from Idaho to Clearwater, FL to purchase Lochsa. Find myself sitting in it in the garage sometimes. Best of times in you and your wife’s new adventures. Ken

Congratulations and welcome to the Keweenaw contingent of C-Dory owners, there are about a dozen in the area. Feel free to call or PM about Isle Royale or any questions about these (your) great boats.

Congrats! Great cruising area as you well know. I hope to bring my TomCat up that way at some point. You will really enjoy both the extended season the boat gives you AND the protection from those nasty biting flies in the summer.

My first cruise on my 22 was Door County followed a couple days later by Fayette State Park. Fun times.

Keweenaw2018, Congratulations on your good choice. At your age(s), Island Jewell is an investment. I know, some folks don't think of a boat as such, but consider it an investment in things like this:
1.Sanity
2.Memories
3.Family
4.Future savings on on recreational expenditures (Time shares, second home and properties, and humongous RV's)
5.Mutual enjoyment
6.An International Cultural Experience -- C-BRATS Cool

Those 1600 miles, are just a start of a lifetime availability of together adventures. Welcome here, and
and thanks for sharing. Stick around, this place is a treasure chest of knowledge and friends.

Thank you everybody for the welcome and the encouragement!

I spent last night crawling under the cover w/ my headlamp-illuminated-breath, fashioning new pvc cover poles and organizing lockers. I'm definitely chomping at the bit.

Thanks, Jay, for the welcome to the local fleet. I think the C-Dory aesthetic is particularly suited to the Keweenaw / Huron Mountains / Isle Royale vibe.

Cheers everyone,
-Hunter
