That's true for me as well. In fact, if I could figure out which (appropriate) engine would be quietest, that is what I would buy (since they are pretty much all good these days, to my mind). Low decibel level is my number one desire.
(So far I have not found any definitive info showing that/which one engine is quietest - I have found some measurements, but not with all parameters the same, etc. Might be fun to take some measurements at a gathering some time.)
But then some engines might sound better to a particular person just because of the timbre, etc. and/or some folks like to hear the power. |

Wow, I really appreciate all of the thoughts on the Yamaha's and E-Tecs. I still could go either way, so the the deciding factor for me ends up being buying from the folks who I want to help me service and maintain my CD (though this also is a close call). And that means I'll go with the E-Tecs. Again, thanks everyone. You C-Brats are a great resource!

I wonder if this Pontoon model might be a better match to a C-dory such as the 22?
Quieter, more low end power, ...........
